Part 3: Steps to register for Math Kangaroo 2027

Step 1: Open the registration page

Go to the official Math Kangaroo USA portal. Use https://mathkangaroo.org/mks/ or https://mathkangaroo.oasis-lms.com/. These sites host all center listings, account tools, and payment functions.

Step 3: Choose the Exam Center

Click “Registration to Math Kangaroo 2027 Competition” on the left menu. The page shows all available testing centers across the US. Two center types appear:

• Invitation only – needs a private school code.
• Public – accepts all students, no code needed.

It will tan display virtual centers and test locations in various states. Choose the appropriate virtual center or state test location based on your address.

Test Format and Rules

The test runs for 75 minutes.

• Grades 1–4: 24 questions (96 points total)
• Grades 5–12: 30 questions (120 points total)

All questions are multiple-choice.

Scoring: Each question is worth 3, 4, or 5 points based on difficulty. Harder questions earn more points. There is no penalty for wrong answers. This scoring system encourages students to try every question and rewards those who solve tougher problems.
